THE ROLE

This one-year fixed-term contract offers an exciting opportunity to assist the IT Director with a range of projects aimed at delivering a comprehensive three-year strategy for a fast-growing accountancy group.

Your key responsibilities may include:

• Collaborate with stakeholder (IT managers) to coordinate and execute IT alignment projects, focusing on security, office 365 and IT infrastructure
• Utilise your project management expertise to manage timelines, deliverables and coordinate with IT manager to deliver key milestone
• Taking a proactive, hands-on approach, from designing standardised distribution group to formulating plans aligning backup strategies across the group.
• Lead efforts to execute the business’s security rationalisation, a critical deliverable in the first year, ensuring alignment with IT security principles, policies and products.
• Gather and review security documentation from existing firms and work with the IT director to formalise security strategies aligned with the overall business plan.
• Assisting with the setup and short-term management of an Azure environment, including Active Directory, VPNs, and other key infrastructure components.
• Flexibility to adopt a hands-on approach as required, contributing to both strategic and technical initiatives.

ABOUT YOU

Skills and experience:

• Basic project management skills for coordinating efforts with various IT stakeholders.
• Understanding of IT security principles and experience with security reviews and strategy formulation.
• Hands-on experience with Azure environments, including setup and management of core infrastructure such as VPNs, Active Directory, and firewalls.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, rolling up your sleeves to assist with both strategic and technical tasks as needed.
