THE ROLE

As the Practice Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and compliance of Sumer Law. You will oversee various operational, financial, compliance, HR, and marketing tasks to support our growing team and client base. Our firm prides itself on maintaining the highest standards of practice management and delivering exceptional client services. We’re in a high growth stage and in turn are looking for a highly skilled and competent Practice Manager to join us on the journey.

Your key responsibilities may include:

  1. Managing the Sumer Law tech stack, including case and practice management systems.
  2. Supporting our Digital Marketing Manager with maintenance of the website and external pages such as LinkedIn, Press Releases and Socials.
  3. Overseeing the financial operations of Sumer Law including billing process, preparing monthly reports, P&L and credit control
  4. Handling insurance renewals and practicing certificates for fee-earning staff.
  5. Ensuring compliance with solicitors’ accounts rules and managing internal and external policies and procedures.
  6. Tracking our network of accountancy hubs for future and current work
  7. Supporting HR and Talent with the onboarding of new joiners
  8. Organizing webinars and sending mailshots for bulletins, newsletters, and updates.

ABOUT YOU

Skills and experience:

  • Comprehensive experience in managing and streamlining law firm operations
  • Proven track record in case management and compliance with SRA regulatory standards.
  • Proficient in financial operations including experience overseeing billing processes and preparing detailed monthly financial reports.
  • Experienced in handling insurance renewals, practising certificates, and ensuring adherence to solicitors’ accounts rules and policies.
  • Experience in staff on-boarding and ongoing support
