James has spent the last 15 years of his career building businesses in various sectors, most recently with Dragon Argent, a boutique accountancy, tax and legal advisor to fast growth tech startups.
Prior to professional services, James had successfully started, scaled and exited a business intelligence provider with a global footprint. More recently at Dragon Argent, James enjoyed a dual remit, advising founders focused on scaling robust businesses and helping to deliver a significant period of growth, during which annual fee income grew 150% in three years.
Asked what drew him to Sumer, James replied: “Professional services is at an interesting crossroads where technology, data and the value of human interactions are converging at pace. How those drivers are harnessed to deliver the best possible client experience is a fascinating challenge which Sumer are committed to delivering on. I’ve seen professional services from both sides, as a business owner and as an advisor and I know, when done correctly, it can be a superpower to clients. I want to be part of that journey – to support Sumer’s mission of championing SME’s at nation scale.”
James joins Sumer to focus on the delivery of organic growth across the group and to work closely with Sumer’s business champions across the UK, supporting growth and helping deliver exceptional service levels to our clients.
