Expanding regional presence across England and strengthening capability in key markets
Sumer Group, the UK’s fastest-growing accountancy firm, today announced the successful completion of four strategic transactions, significantly expanding its regional footprint and reinforcing its position as a champion for SMEs across the UK.
These transactions strengthen Sumer’s presence in London, the North West, Devon/Cornwall and the South Coast, bringing an additional 70+ colleagues into the Group and extending its service capabilities in these key regions.

The four strategic transactions include:
- NR Barton joins Cowgills in the North West expanding our footprint in Wigan and Lancashire with their dedicated team bringing long established client relationships, alongside innovative thinking on technology.
- RT Marke has merged with Condy Mathias establishing a presence in the Plymouth region and adding specialised expertise to our growing platform across Devon and Cornwall.
- Simmons Gainsford have expanded our presence in the capital through partnering with Defries Weiss, bringing additional scale and capability in London, along with their impressive client portfolio.
- Carpenter Box has joined forces with Clark Brownscombe Chartered Accountants in Lewes. This transaction brings a new location to our market leading South Coast presence, coupled with excellent expertise and client base in the landed estate sector.
These transactions reflect Sumer’s ongoing strategy of partnering with leading regional practices that share its ethos, values, and approach to client service. The firm continues to build regional hubs throughout the UK focused on the SME market.
