Sumer promotes Nick Taylor to Chief Financial Officer

The appointment recognises Taylor’s exceptional performance in driving Sumer’s growth

Sumer, the UK’s fastest growing accountancy firm, today announced the promotion of Nick Taylor to Chief Financial Officer. The appointment follows the retirement of co-founder and CFO Nigel Carr, with Taylor’s promotion recognising his outstanding leadership as Head of M&A.

Taylor, who has been instrumental in Sumer’s recent growth trajectory, will report to CEO Warren Mead and continue to drive the company’s financial strategy and expansion initiatives.

“Nick is a superb colleague and an exceptional leader,” said Warren Mead, CEO of Sumer. “His track record speaks for itself – with the support of his outstanding team, he has delivered on (and integrated) 34 transactions in just over two years, delivering significant value for our stakeholders.”

Under Taylor, Sumer has successfully navigated multiple acquisition opportunities and strategic partnerships, positioning the company for sustained growth. His deep understanding of the business, combined with his proven track record in complex financial transactions, makes him ideally suited to lead the finance function.

“I’m delighted to take on this expanded role and excited about the opportunities ahead,” said Nick Taylor, newly appointed CFO of Sumer. “Working alongside Warren and the entire Sumer team, we’ve built strong financial foundations and driven rapid growth. I look forward to continuing this momentum as we deliver on our mission to champion SMEs throughout the UK.”

The leadership transition comes as Sumer continues to grow from strength to strength, with Taylor’s appointment ensuring continuity in the company’s financial leadership and strategic direction.
